September brought a visit from my sisters Allison and Emily, which was a blast! We went to Bumpershoot and saw Anberlin, which rocked and Sean Paul and Fergie taught me how to spell.
It was very fun! Spending time with my sisters is always fun!
Then at the end of September, the unthinkable happened, my brother Christian who is only 39 had a stroke and had to have emergency brain surgery to remove the blood clots that had formed on his brain stem. Jamie and I flew out to Illinois and stayed with my sister Allison for a week so we could be there with our family. Christian is doing better, but is having a difficult time with fine motor skills, walking and sitting up for any length of time. The daily vomitting hasn't stopped and is trying to be controlled with medication. Though it's been difficult, we have seen the Lord's hand in my brother's illness and recovery. He's been spared from what could have been fatal and for that we are all so very grateful. Since Chritian is a crazy Seahawks fan we decorated his room in a Seahawks motiff! Here Jamie is presenting him with an official Shaun Alexander jersey.

Mallory ran up as I was looking at this & saw the pic of you two together & said " aww... it's me & Aunt Beth! I love her! Can she sleep with me tonight?" hee hee :)
I am so darn mad that I missed you by an hour!!!! I was really hoping you would have delayed your flight just one more day, but I understand you probably needed to get back home. Next time you are staying with me and I will promise you that I will not be on vacation! Averee has to wear her pajamas every night! She just loves it. She tells me she is a princess when she wears it. I'm glad you had a good visit. The twins are so cute hugh, and they make you laugh constantly!
And another thing! I had a blast at Bumpershoot with you! Thanks for going to see Sean Paul and Fergie with me! And we all learned how to spell G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!
