I've decided I want to be Irish

Last night Kendal, my Mother-in-Law and I went to Celtic Women at the Paramount Theater as guests of Alex Sharpe. She's filling in for Lisa for the length of the tour. The show was amazing and I was captivated by Alex's angelic voice. She truly stole the show with her stage presence and beauty and I was honored to finally meet her. She has been a dear friend to my family and I was so glad she made it to Seattle. Thank you Alex for a wonderful evening I will never forget!

This was a fun song they sang that the audience participated in. Unfortunatedly, this particular video doesn't show Alex, but it's neat to watch!

(7/6/2008) On a side note, Alex just signed a two year contract with Celtic Woman to be their permanent back up!!!! Very Cool! Way to go Alex!!!

Time Flies, fun or not...

Here it is April and I see that it's been over a month since I've blogged! Where have I been???? Well, to tell you the truth, life has been the pits and when you're in the pits, you don't want to blog. Who wants a downer? Not me! So, I have chosen a new happy song. Everything, by Michael Buble though secretly, Imogen Heap knows how I truly feel. And Just for Now is my new anti-holiday song. Long story, but I swear Imogen's been a fly on the wall for the last 24 years of holidays. How did she know? I love my in-laws. My sister-in-laws I would take any day, but the others, only in small doses. So Easter, ummm yeah... and as Forrest Gump would say, "And that's all I have to say about that!" March brought lots of sickness, I worked tons, yet it was still difficult to get by, my parents both celebrated birthdays (Mom's 63 and Dad would be 65) and Kendal went with the choir to Disneyland! (Thanks Grandpa Mantzke)

But, April has started out wonderful! General Conference was amazing this weekend!!!! Jordan, Taylor and Joel got tickets to attend the Priesthood Session. So cool. My Mom is coming for a visit and I also get to see Celtic Women at the Paramount on the 19th!!!! Alex was so sweet and got me tickets!!! She is filling in actually for one of the main singers. I can't wait to finally meet her. (Look at my sister's blogs) My brother Christian used to live in Europe and dated Alex. It was quite the commute from Slovakia to Ireland, but they're still good friends even though he lives in the States now. April should be fun!!!!
