מַזָּל טוֹב. , Mazal tov, Congratulations!

Rabbi Heber, The Torah Scribe and Mark

It was a wonderful day for the Orthodox Jewish Community in Tacoma on Sunday. I was invited to go to a celebration with the family I nanny for and I'm so glad I went! There were about 200 people in attendance as a new Torah was dedicated, as well as, a groundbreaking for a new Synagogue. The Torah was finish before everyone as a Scribe finished the last letters. The Scribe flew in from New York that day with the Torah that took him a year to complete. The family I work for were instrumental in making sure a new Torah would be possible. They are such wonderful people!
The Shofar being blown!
Judah was such a good boy!
One of the speakers, was the Attorney General of Washington state. Then there was the groundbreaking and dancing!

Walking and dancing through the streets!

A Three Hour Tour???

We started out at 3 PM for a little boat ride, in a tiny boat our neighbor let us take out. It was a very hot day and the water was GREAT! we decided to go around Bainbridge Island since we look at it every day and our neighbor said it would take us about and hour and a half. "NO PROBLEM", said the Captain.
Very cool!
Our Captain
Enjoying the ride on the west side of the island!!!
Agate Pass Bridge, connecting the island to the mainland.
heading around the north side of the island with Mt. Rainier in the background.
Very choppy waters, looking at Seattle.
(objects are closer than they appear!!)
Mike heard a strange noise so we had to stop the engine. The Bainbridge Ferry started honking at us!!! Quickly they untangled the fishing line wrapped around the motor, and we're on our way !!! WHEW!
More Sea Lions sunning themselves!
"LOOK MA, NO HANDS!"
Derrek's turn to drive!!!
Finally back in Bremerton! Let's get some FOOD!!!
At the Boat Shed where we docked the boat and grabbed a bite to eat.
Yeehaw!!!
Derrek's Chicken Wings, YUM!
Such a hot day!
My salad was delicious♥
Back in the boat, got some gas, heading home, and the ENGINE STOPS!!!
And we were drifting towards the Car Ferry and Foot Ferry docking zones!!
what the heck!!! Mike tries to get the motor starting again, but it won't and it's getting dark. I flag down a boat for help.
HOORAY!!! Getting a tow to the Bremerton Marina
A nice guy came over to see what we needed and ...
Ken helped us on our way without a hitch.
by now it's 9:00 and we're heading home. It was a beautiful evening and a long day, but we learned a few things and look forward to doing it again!!!

Spending Time Together♥

The weekends at our house are often spent visiting with our kids. Derrek will come home or Kendal will drive up, but usually not at the same time. The last weekend before Taylor moved down to Utah to live with his brother Jordan, we got together so they could say good-bye. We had a great day in Seattle around Lake Washington and Lake Union.
This is my favorite picture

I love it when we can be together!!!
