Rabbi Heber, The Torah Scribe and Mark |
It was a wonderful day for the Orthodox Jewish Community in Tacoma on Sunday. I was invited to go to a celebration with the family I nanny for and I'm so glad I went! There were about 200 people in attendance as a new Torah was dedicated, as well as, a groundbreaking for a new Synagogue. The Torah was finish before everyone as a Scribe finished the last letters. The Scribe flew in from New York that day with the Torah that took him a year to complete. The family I work for were instrumental in making sure a new Torah would be possible. They are such wonderful people!

Beth, I have always been fascinated with the Jewish culture. I wish I could have been there to experience it with you. What a wonderful day. Judah is adorable! You work for a lovely family!!!
How fun! I went to a bat mitzvah a few months back, it was a blast. Those people know how to have fun, I tell you what! I was like, if I weren't Mormon, I'd be Jewish.
But all joking aside. Congrats to them! That's rad!!!
