We had a pretty quiet Easter this year. Normally we get together with Mike's family, but sadly, everyone was busy. But we didn't let that stop us from having a lovely day and Taylor spent the night and went to church with us. Also, the night before, we dyed Easter eggs and kept with tradition by having Mike judge the colorful creations. That's so much fun and he usually asks one of the cats to help him for an unbiased opinion. Derrek won the "most sentimental" egg. He had written Jordan's nickname, JB, on it. The eggs all turned out very unique and we all had lots of laughs. The next morning, I baked Cinnamon Rolls and we had hard boiled eggs, bacon and orange juice.

I still do Easter baskets for the family since they're all such candy fiends! One is never too old for a basket!

Then we headed to church, which was wonderful! I taught Primary and Taylor was such a big help in my class. Afterwards, we came home to a Cheese Strata, Honey Ham, Asparagus and Strawberries. Mmmm Mmmmm. Overall it was a wonderful weekend for so many reasons.
I love Easter because of the time we spend together as a family and the beautiful Easter music that adds such a special spirit as we celebrate what the Savior did for us! We are so blessed!
