I loved them as my own and found that love is a BIG part of the job. Being a Nanny becomes very personal as you love, nurture and teach these precious children who are in your charge. Since they were my first family, the other jobs I have undertaken since have, for better or for worse, been compared to them. The Grieser children were perfect in my book and I don't know if I will ever find another family like theirs, but the other families I have worked for have children that most definitely have touched my heart. For a year I was a Nanny for two families on alternating days and worked roughly 45-60 hrs a week, but after much prayer, I recently left the Mayes family. They had the most adorable twin girls and I was so sad to leave,
but I knew they would be alright without me. When I prayed about which family to Nanny for, I decided to stay with the Luttinen Family. I feel VERY needed there and though it's hard work being a Nanny of four girls (ages 2, 4, 7, and 17) verses two, I knew it was the right thing to do! Being a Nanny has also made the transition easier for me as I find myself an empty nester!

I had no idea! I bet it's super rewarding...but super exhausting all at the same time. Those families are so lucky to have you as a nanny!!
It takes a special person to be a nanny! That's so great that you are able to focus on one family instead of more.
How do you and Allison get your cute backgrounds? I really want to change mine but have no clue how to get it cute like yours! Fill me in! Love you!
I didn't know you were a nanny either! That is hard work!! You would really be the best though. Look what an amazing job you did with your own! The kids you nanny for are gorgeous. Sounds like you had a hard decision to make. It's so nice that we can rely on prayer to help!
So where do you find the time to get a smokin' tan like that? I need to get me one of those ;) So you know what I think... I think you need to move to Illinois to be my Nanny (except I'm not sure I could afford you ;). Love you! AL
I Bet your the best Nanny ever:) Thanks soo much for the really nice and caring words you gave me- it really helped me:) Thanks!
That's neat you're a nanny. What a good idea for empty nesters too.
