What a blessing it was for our whole family to spend the entire weekend together and I will always treasure the time we had before Derrek left. It makes me appreciate my family and how grateful I am for the eternal bond we share. I admit it was so sad to say goodbye to him at the airport and we all cried as he left, but we know this opportunity for him to study abroad in Monterrey, Mexico through the UW will be a good experience for him. But I'm hoping time goes by fast until he returns home in December! But until then, we love you Derrek and have fun!

Oh I'm sad! I heard he was going but I didn't think it was so soon. Very proud of you Derek and hope it goes well. I would love to be in Mexico right now since one of my cravings is any kind of mexican food! Lucky dog! Love you all!
Oh and I have to tell you, you sent me a text of all the kids today and I had a proud aunt moment and showed any of my co-workers that would pass by me and they were so funny because they had no idea my oldest nephew and I are only 3 years apart, so I got a kick out of it and they look so good! Everyone loved the picture! So thanks for sharing!

It would make me sad to see my baby boy go too. But he will learn alot I am sure and have a great time doing it :)
